Skiing has a long tradition in Stuben. Stories of our little village and its visitors date back to the hour of birth of Alpine Skiing, a time when the ascent of Albonagrat was treacherous and done on foot.
Hannes Schneider, born 1890 in Stuben, Ski pioneer of the first hour, made our village the “Cradle of Alpine Skiing”. Those, who once have been skiing in Stuben know what it means when the mountain is calling;
Our “Hausberg” Albona (snow guaranteed till May) offers those, seeking fun in deep snow tracks away from the masses, daily new challenges. There is probably no second mountain, offering such vast variety in downhill slopes, that even the locals dispute new varieties of downhill.
Stuben is a paradise for passionate skiing fans whose emphasis is as much on the sport as on a cosy get-together.
See you in Stuben!
